Family Values Promotions

My wife Shirley and I are very proud to announce that M&S Public Relations has just been awarded 2011 Best of Indianapolis Award by the prestigious U.S. Commerce Association (USCA). If there has ever been a reason to choose one company over another, this would be it.

If you want to succeed in the music business, why not sign up with a company that is continually pushing forward and that is recognized by a National organization that is in the business of those that are making progress in their perspective field, rather than a company that is giving you the same story no matter how often you visit their website. It is up to you.

My name is Michael James Caron (shown here in the Snake Hat) with our client Chuck Kesilman and my beautiful wife Shirley Ruth Caron. I am president of M&S Public Relations (aka) Family Values Promotions. My wife Shirley is Vice President. Shirley is also in charge of finances, therefore, if you have any questions regarding payments or any other money matters you should address them to her. Our main goal is to get you, the artist, the recognition that you deserve.

shirleycaron3.jpg

This is my beautiful wife Shirley Ruth Caron. She is Vice President of M&S Public Relations and Financial Director for our operations. Questions regarding fees, commissions or other matters regarding payments will be directed to her at all times. You may reach Shirley at (317) 529-3332. If you reach the answering machine it is very important that you leave a detailed message. She is becoming very busy and can only return calls that have messages.

When my wife Shirley and I began this business back in 2003, we went against the rules many times. We were told that in order to run a successful business we must charge a fee of $300.00 per year, plus require at least 30% of our client's revenue. Our price to represent you is $150.00 for a full two years and require only 10% of client's revenue. Since 2003 at least forty of our clients have gone on to bigger and better things. We have received nothing at all for our efforts. Nobody works for free. Therefore, we are now looking for all new clients that believe in honesty. If you cannot be honest, no matter how good you are, do not contact us. We have lost too much over the past eight years to continue to support clients that had no intentions of paying back. Once we have signed our new clients, those that are listed here will be gone..........We will be opening a category for Reggae and other Music as well. We are not trying to be harsh or portray a negative attitude, however we do need to know that you understand our situation before we even begin.  We work with people in the music industry and can get you the most for your money, but it does have to be understood that you have to cooperate with us fully.  We have a new client that signed with us.  We sent his information to the top executors in Nashville.  In less than one week we heard back from our client.  He sings only cover songs at this time.  Three of his renditions were featured on the Nashville Broadcasting Radio Network on Saturday, October 2, 2010 from 2-3pm cst
We are constantly looking for land line and internet radio stations that are willing to give new artists a break.

Log on and listen to the Fantastic voice of Gregory {TABU} Lewis II on Saturday, October 2, 2010. If you get this message after the second you can search in Archives.

imgsrv.php.jpg

Not all artists receive an opportunity like this as quickly as this, however this is what it entails.
Nashville Broadcasting  Radio Network has been in business for about five years.  It is owned and operated by Keith Bradford. NBRN is the fastest growing internet radio company in the business and is linked to radio stations in four different countries plus the whole of the United States and Canada.  Therefore, a one hour show that features special artists is simulcast world wide giving the artist an audience of over four million listeners at one time.  This opportunity is not afforded to all artist without some kind of money up front, however when a special client comes along, promoted by us, good things happen.  TABU is the fifth client of ours that has gotten this opportunity and the second that has had three songs featured.
Airtime is Paramount in this business and you do Not have to sing original songs to Qualify.  What you do have to do is make those cover songs Your songs.  This is the key.  Sound a likes are fading out quickly.
A quick note on this subject. Our client, Chuck Kesilman (pictured with my wife and I above) has recently informed us that three of his original songs have topped all the charts in Europe and he should be expecting a sizeable Royalty check very shortly. This is why we say that you have to be patient.

Here is an example.

Competition; Every business has them. You will have offers to represent you free of charge or have people gaurantee to get you a Recording contract within six months, {If you send them $3,600.00 actual figure} When or IF you get that contract that will cost you an additional cost of $5,000.00 to $10,000.00. Read the story on Rick Hager and see the difference. If you feel that you are so good that you should not have to pay a penny for your promotion that's find. We are here to help those that realize that when someone offers you something for free, you will get your money's worth.

This is me, Michael James Caron (Mike)
mikeandshirleycaron.jpg.jpg
and my beautiful and talented wife Shirley Ruth Caron

We will be introducing two new features to our website. The first is Showcase Your Talent which is already in place. On this page we invite you to display you songs wheather they are on sing snap, Reverbnation, or You Tube. There is no cost for this feature. This is for those who love to sing but would rather not do it professionally or think that they may have a chance but would rather not put out the money until they know for sure. If you are interested, e-mail me at michael_caron2942@hotmail.com Include a clear picture or pictures, tell me a little about yourself and include the links to your music.

drumset.jpg

The second feature will be for anyone who has ever displayed their talent at a music award show whether it was in a school auditorium, theater, or even the EIA Award Show in Nashville. As long as the show was video-taped either before a live audience or just a private showing. It will be best if you are able to condense it to include your performance only. If you performed two or more numbers, that is fine. Send the link to me at michael_caron2942@hotmail.com along with detailed information. What month and year, name of the show, location, and if you received an award please include that as well. Also be sure to include your name and address (which will not be displayed) and one or more clear photos. We look forward to hearing from you.

03.gif

It is going to take time to make all the changes necessary throughout this website, therefore you may come across some conflicting statements here and there. My wife and I knew nothing about the music industry before she was nominated by the E.I.A. Awards show (Entertainer Indi-Association)for Silver Writer Artist of 2003. This was an exciting time for both of us, and before the taping was even finished a woman approached Shirley saying that she wanted to promote her talent. Although I did not know that much about the music business, I knew that when the Talent Promoter told us how much her services were and we told her that we could not afford it, and she waved her hand and said, "Don't worry, I'll wave the fee." that did not sound right. However, instead of telling her that we did not require her services, we were too caught up in the moment and went along with it. For the next year or so, we were having to pay for a lot of incidentals not covered by the Talent Agent. To pay for those incidentals, we managed to create about four Talent Showcase events to cover expenses and promote our artists to Emerald Records. At the first Talent Showcase, we had ten artists to present to Mister Ayres. By this time, we were already in debt from paying out all the money to the Talent Agent. The money paid to her did not include the semi annual $100.00 fee that we had to pay to be members of the E.I.A. plus the entry fee of $450.00 for each E.I.A. Award show that we attended. By this time, Two songs written by Shirley had already been published, but not yet released. Two weeks before the E.I.A. show was to be aired, I called Shirley's Talent Agent to tell her about the results of the Talent Contest. She was in a meeting with Cliff and when I told her what I had, she quickly told me to tell Cliff and handed the phone over to him. He told me to get the information to him as quickly as possible, and said that the talent agent had something to tell Shirley. The talent agent told Shirley that she had just quit and that Shirley would have to find a new talent promoter. Shirley said that she already had one. Me. We still had to pay our fee like everyone else, even though without our ten artists there would not have been a taping of that show.

Supposedly, we were to receive 10% of the entry fee for every client that attended the E.I.A. Awards Show, plus 10% for every client that signed and paid for, an Emerald Records contract. Many of our clients signed contracts and have received royalties for their songs, however in the past seven years we have received approximately two hundred dollars for our efforts. In that amount of time, these are the awards that have been presented to us. Shirley Ruth Caron Golden Poet/ Artist 2005- Female Adult/Contemporary Vocalists 2006- Platinum Writer/Vocalist 2006- EIA Golden Writer Artist 2007- Mike and Shirley Caron EIA Golden Legendary Writers & Promoters 2008- EIA Golden Promoters & Artists 2009.
Those that receive a nomination from the Entertainer Network which is the company owned by Entertainer Indi-Association do stand to go forth in the music industry and get a lot of recognition, however, we the promoters do not receive a penny for our efforts. This is the Harsh Realities of the Music business. Those they you think are making thousands of dollars a week are probably not making enough to survive.

send in at least four songs the way you want them sung (i.e.) bridges, chorus, solo male or female, duet, ect. along with your $100.00 fee or a portion thereof. Let us know if changes can or cannot be made, and what theme you feel will be best suited for the song(s).

Our economy is not going to change any time soon. We could very easily say we need $300.00 instead of $100.00 to represent you. However that would be neither ethical nor fair. What we will say is this. If you have a product on youtube that you would like us to review, send us an e-mail at michael_caron2942@hotmail.com If we feel that it is a wirthy product we will list it on this web site. If you want us to represent you but $100.00 is a little much right now, let us know what you can send. We want to deal with people that really feel that they have the talent and are ready to make the commitment, but we don't need people the are better than anyone else. Those people never make it. We will be uploading a lot more on this site over the next few weeks however we ask that you be patient. My wife and I are doing it alone, because those that said they would help demand a lot more than we are willing to pay. YES!! I am mad. Not angry, but mad about how the whole world seems to want it all and give nothing. I want your voice to be heard and I don't want you to have to spend a fortune to do it.

Vintage personal computer

A lot can be done on your computer. However, if you receive a letter in the mail that you have been nominated for an upcoming E.I.A. Awards show, it means that you have already won second place in your particular field. Second place is a $750.00 credit towards a $1,500.00 Recording contract. After the taping is done, usually about three to four weeks, a phone call is made to the over-all winner who will receive a $5,000.00 Recording contract. Therefore, if you should receive that all important letter in the mail, you contact us, give us as much information about the newspapers in your area and we will send press releases to them of your up-coming opportunities. What will that do for you? One of our first clients (Who became quite arrogant and is no longer represented by us) informed us of his upcoming invitation to the E.I.A. We got the information in the major newspapers in his area. When he returned home from Nashville he had ten GIG's waiting for him in clubs that would not allow him to perform in for free before the newspaper articles. This is why we say ATTITUDE is EVERYTHING. We are giving you the tools to make it BIG TIME, but we cannot hold your hand for you.

At M&S Public Relations, we are always proud when our clients make it big. Michael Deese was nominated for Diamond Artist/Writer 2009 at the EIA Summerfest Awards in Nashville, Tennessee in June of 2009. Plus, he recorded several songs in the World Famous Gene Breeden Studios. One of his songs was included in a compilation of twenty-one other songs that were distributed to 50,000 people world wide. However, he did not stop there. As we do promote our clients for Emerald Records, we do not have the time to manage them as well. We do suggest to our clients that they do find someone that can manage their future. Michael did just that. His manager, Paula Clayton, along with his brother Terry Deese worked hard for him to keep his name out front. All the hard work paid off. As of this writing, time is very short, however Michael Deese will be appearing on the first episode of America's Got Talent which will air on January 30, 2010. I am sorry that this news comes so late, however we just recently got the news ourselves. Therefore, whenever you are reading this, tune in to the next episode of America's Got Talent and give him your vote. We have been doing this for seven years and when our clients do take our advice, they can win. We hope that Michael Deese will go all the way, but remember one important factor in this business. All you need to do is appear on a T.V. show once, and someone will listen.
CONGRATULATIONS MICHAEL DEESE!!!!!!

Please enjoy this video and respond.

Be sure to watch all relevant videos of Cliff Ayres so that you know exactly what we can do for you to get your music heard.

The official name of our business is M&S Public Relations and we do have one site that has been up for awhile. The URL for that one is http://lordofthebellyrings.tripod.com. We have not worked on that one for quite some time, therefore the information therein may not be accurate. Much information on that site will be deleted shortly as the site that you are on now will be the official site for M&S Public Relations.
Thank you.

Many people throughout the world have written beautiful poetry, shoved it in a draw and forgotten about it. Perhaps at a time that they were feeling sad, noticed the beauty of nature, feel the need to show their compassion for God, there are many reasons why one would put words on paper but than, they don't let those words live. Every song that has ever been written has started out as a poem. Further into this site we will give you the chance to submit your poetry to a very reliable poetry organization where you just might win a lot of money for your effort. For now, let's see where you are and where you need to go.

DRESS TO IMPRESS

No matter what venue that you are performing at, when you walk onto the stage you are selling two things. First, you are selling yourself to the audience. Next, you are selling your music. The best way to explain this is with the following example. If there were two boxes set side by side and you were told that you could have one, but not both. One box is wrapped in plain, brown paper while the other box is wrapped in colorful paper with a bow on top. You don't know what the contents of either box are, however which one would seem more attractive to you?

Human nature dictates that the more attractive the package, the more response that package will receive. Nashville is still Country, therefore Western wear is appropriate. Glitter for the women work as well. We promote you to help you get the most out of your experiences therefore if we say 'DRESS TO IMPRESS' and someone else tells you not to dress up, who would you listen to? We WANT you to climb as high up that ladder as you can and give you the tools to do so. Everything else is up to you. We have been doing this for eight years and we know what works and what does not work.

There are a lot of things that you need to climb that stairway to success. You need to have patience. You need to have commitment. You need to have talent. You definetely need to have the willingness to be able to take professional and personel criticism, you need to have the willingness to give it all that you've got. But most importantly of all you need to have........

M&S Public Relations has been in business for eight years.  We researched several businesses in the industry to find the one that is willing to give the artists a FAIR SHAKE.  Why?  Because my wife is an accomplished songwriter and has had people in Nashville RIP HER OFF!!!!  I don't want that to happen to her or anyone else.!!  I am going to attempt to upload some information here on the Music City Entertainer News that is circulated World Wide.  We have two clients that are now enjoying World Wide Promotions because they signed with M&S Public Relations.  We have several clients from the past that have made their way up the ladder and booted us off on the way.
In this business we have to learn to take the good with the bad, however we do not welcome it with open arms. We learn from it. When we decide that your material is marketable and decide to promote you, we will send you an Agreement form to sign and return to us. Everything is written plainly with no fancy words or words with double meanings. Once you sign, we assume that you understand what is required of us and what is required of you.

The one most important factor for any performer, no matter how good she or he is, is Air-Time. We have teamed up with Keith Bradford of the Nashville Broadcast Network. This is fast becoming the biggest internet radio station in the business. This radio station simulcast to five countries at the same time. Therefore, if your song is played just one time, you will be heard by millions of listeners around the world at the same time. This is much better than shopping your cd's to local radio stations and hope that they will catch on. The shows are monitored for feedback. Therefore, the radio stations will know by callers calling in, what artists are big (and where), and which ones are just not making the cut. We will provide you with a link, free of charge. I say this because I normally reserve this information to those that have already signed with us. Don't tell my wife. She will kill me. The radio station's president is Mister Keith Bradford and his phone number is (615) 612-3899. If you call in regards to getting you voice heard on-air please let him know that you were referred by Mike and Shirley Caron from M&S Public Relations. While you are at it, be sure to tell him that Shirley is a sweetheart. If she hears that nice things were said about her, she may let me live for awhile. Below is the link.

Here is the link to your future success. Please don't forget who made it possible and please consider letting us promote you further. I am giving you a FREE secret to how unknown artists are miking it big. http://www.nbrn.fm

nbnlogo-1.gif

Why should you let us promote you? We have been working with Cliff Ayres for going on eight years. We met Keith Bradford the first year that we attended an EIA Award Show. Since than we have watched him grow to where he now his the biggest internet radio in the business. He did this with a lot of help from Cliff Ayres. No matter how big you get or how many songs you sell, Cliff will not talk with you unless you have representation. You have to have someone promote you. Bottom line.

shirleycaronandcliffayres.jpg

We have told you a lot about Cliff Ayres (pictured here with my wonderful and talented wife Shirley Ruth Caron) and about how much he has done for people over the years. However, up until now, we have not been able to give you a SOUND representation. Now, we can.

nashvillenights.jpg

Rick Hager is one of our more dedicated clients. He is pictured here playing at Nashville Nights. In the past year, Rick has had one of his songs included on a compilation of songs that has been distributed World Wide. He was also featured in The Entertainer News which you can see above. Rick has worked hard this past year and has formed a band called Hidden Drive. Up until now, we have only been able to tell you how good our people are but now we can show you as well. When you click on the link below, it will take you to my Tagged Profile. Scroll down to videos and enjoy listening to "Marie Laveau" and than "Shelly's Winter Love." When we are not on here improving our website we will be on Tagged, so why not sign up while you are there? It is free and there are thousands of wonderful people that you can meet.
GOD BLESS YOU

Chuck was awarded Golden Artists of 2009 for his original song "Hey Rah. He's the Guitar Man."

In the past year, Chuck also received an Honorable Mention Award from Billboard Magazine. A lot of artists are lucky enough to make it onto the Billboard charts, but very few receive an award.

Along with receiving these great awards, Chuck is also getting GIGS. On March 13,2010 he will be performing at the Naked Bean in Shreveport and he has been invited to perform at the John Lennon Freedom Concert in Toronto, Canada on June 24,25,26.
You can learn a lot more about Chuck Kessilman, where he's bbe, where he is going, and who helped him along the way. He will be featured on Blog-talk radio on March 1,2010 at 7:30p.m. eastern time or 6:30p.m.Central time. Be sure to tune in. Click on the link below.
