We give you the opportunity to be heard and reviewed by a top executive in the music industry. This is the man at the very top. Not an associate or staff member, but the person that has the final say as to who is in and who is out. We will list some of our clients on this page that have gotten their music heard World Wide. Some are still with us, others decided to go their own way. That is fine. Not all people are honest, but hopefully there are enough honest artists out there that realize how much we do for them, and how little we get in return. When we list our artists we will not point out who is or is not still with us. This is for decency sake.

People that sing and play and instrument do so because they have found a way to express their feelings. It is also a good feeling when others like what you do. Although we did not list everyone that we have helped here, we tried to give you an idea of what we have been doing. For the past seven years my wife and I have done everything that we could possibly do to help people get an honest boost to their career. We have the resources to get you to the next level and although it is not free we get you every possible discount that we can. We just ask that you respect us as much as we respect you.

2010 begins a brand new decade. There is no better time to begin to climb the stairs to success than right now. Along worth the beginning of this new decade, M&S Public Relations will be making some changes. My wife, Shirley Ruth Caron was introduced to the world of music in 2003 when she received a letter from Mister Cliff Ayres stating that a client of his discovered a poem that she had written and wanted to put it to music. Shirley received her first nomination that year for Silver poet/songwriter of 2003. Since that time, we gradually began our business to held other performers become recognized. Almost seven years later Shirley's song "A Touch of Beauty" was included in a compilation of twenty-one other songs and distributed World Wide. We recently learned that the song received enough attention that Mister Ayres wants to release it as a single. In the meantime, clients that we introduced to Mister Ayres had their songs included in the compilation within two to three months after appearing on the E.I.A. Awards show. Each client that is approved by Mister Ayres is nominated for their particular genre of music. The nomination is an automatic second place winner which is $750.00 credit towards a $1,500.00 Recording contract. The show is taped and edited into eight half hour segments which are than shown on several Cable stations throughout the U.S. and several cities overseas once a week for a period of eight weeks. At each show, one performer is named as over-all winner for that segment. That performer receives a $5,000.00 Recording contract. Early on in our venture, one of our clients was named over-all winner. We received a handshake and "Goodbye, we don't need you anymore." Over a period of seven years we have had at least twenty-five clients receive Recording contracts and big boosts in their careers within a year after we introduced them to Nashville and Cliff Ayres. We have received nothing in return. Shirley has another song entitled "Time" which was put to music and was being performed by an artists from North Carolina. He decided, after a considerable investment on our part, that he no longer wants to sing. We are looking for a male or female, or both, that would like to revive that song.
I am not writing all of this out of hatred, but rather to let each and every one of you know that we know what kind of people are out there, because we have been unfortunate to trust them. When my wife waits for seven years to get her break, while those that we support leave us high and dry after we get them to where they want to be, it is not fair at all.

As this is the beginning of a new decade, we would like to make some positive changes. We would like to fill these pages with honest performers and decent performers. As I mentioned earlier, not all of those listed are gone, but they are all talented. Therefore, if you live in or around the Greenwood area and would like to grow with us, contact us. We are not always able to go to performances or Karaoke clubs to check out talent, so if you would like to help us in that area, let us know. If you enjoy video-taping performances, (with their permission) this would help. Awhile back, we had a girl contact us saying that she was majoring in Public Relations and wanted to know if she could work with us for credit. We contacted her several times, but she never got back to us.

Communication is the key to everything. You can be the most beautiful girl on Earth or the best vocalist that ever was, but if you cannot communicate you are just spinning your wheels.

What style of music qualifies????

I'm glad that you asked. Emerald Records have been in business for over 35 years and have produced many different genres of music. The main thing to remember is that your lyrics cannot contain profanity or racial discrimination. Emerald and American Sounds Records are owned and operated by Mister Cliff Ayres, however he is also affiliated with 115 + Independant Record labels as well as the Major labels. Those that feel that it is easy to get a recording label to produce your songs must remember this. If you do not have a track record (i.e) have your songs being played on all the major radio stations, Independant record labels will not support you unless you sign a contract for $40,000.00 to $50,000.00 dollars. We can get it done for much less money.

After you have checked out the videos on Tagged, and are completely satisfied that everything that I have told you is legitimate, we can begin proceeding to the next level. You can bypass this step by submitting your material directly to Nashville, however there is no telling how much time will elapse before it is seen. If you are a minor, you must have a parent or legal guardian act on your behalf.

cdspinning.gif

First, you must mail us two CD's with at least four songs, two fast, two slow. Nashville needs to know if you can perform both. One CD will be sent to Nashville to be evaluated. The other one will be kept for our records.

vtape.gif

Along with the CDs, you must include a DVD or Video tape of your performance. Once we review both, if we decide that the quality is good enough to pass the review board in Nashville, we will mail you a profile sheet along with an agreement form agreeing to represent you. This is a new policy, as we required the promotion fees upfront, which, by the way, will be $100.00. The reason that we changed our policy is this. We had people send us very professional CDs with their pictures on them. They did not have a video, however, and we agreed to promote them. They did get nominated for an award and did show up in Nashville. However, when it was their turn to perform, instead of putting a sound track in the system, it was the song itself. We need to know that you are who you say you are. Mail the material to;

We will be making another change in 2010. Once we have agreed to represent you, we will put your video on our website along with selections from your CD. If you are performing locally, we will list time, date, and location to get more visitors to attend. We will do everything possible to get you to where you need to be, however you have to work with us on this. We want to fill our pages with dedicated artists that deserve the recognition.
