Have you ever wondered how you could Possibly make money from writing Poetry?
Many of us have written things down on slips of paper, gone back at a later date and polished those thoughts through poetic
verse. We have contemplated on sending them in to various poetry contests, however our friends have advised us against it.
"It costs too much!!" "They only want your money!!" "Why waste your time?" So we tuck them
away in a draw and forget about it. The Truth of the matter is, everything cost too much if we don't have the money, but
on the other hand, nothing is Free!! If you do not invest in yourself, who will? If you have poems that you feel could make
great songs, we will publish them here for you. If you feel that your poetry is best suited for The Written Word with musical
background, by all means let us know. Today's economy is not going to change overnight, nor will it get better in the near
future. So, get out your originals, touch them up if you have to, and let us see if there is a song artist that would like
to put music to it. Your songs will never be for sale. If someone would like to sing them they have to agree that your name
appears on the label as the songwriter and that you will be paid royalties for all songs sold.

Those Days
(Gospel Pop Song)
Bridge 1:
My mamma was right,
When she told me,
Jesus is the only wall,
I can lean against,
In spite of everything I have done tp offend His Kingdom.
He has still forgiven for the shame,
He has still been there when I need him right,
I can tell you he is calling you,
Come on give him a chance,
To explore your soul.
I know he will do it right,
To carry your problems away,
so that you prosper like you wanted to
Chorus: (Repeat Twice)
It's not like in those days I was in the dark.
It's not like in those days I was lonely.
It's not like in those days I was sinful.
Now it's different when I am with Jesus.
Bridge 2:
My papa was right,
When he told me,
Jesus is the only answer to my question.
I can get answered when I believe in him,
Coz is ready to carry me on,
Not just to give me what I need,
But also to prepare my place in Heaven.
Do right coz he needs you,
He is ready to show you the way.
Never lose hope,
Coz he there for you.
Repeat Chorus Twice
Bridge 3:
Mamma I know you right,
Papa I know you right,
Jesus is the only wall I can lean against,
Jesus is the answer to my questions.
Come on,
Jesus I luv you,
Jesus I need you,
Jesus I want you.
I am ready to give you my life.
Repeat Chorus four times

UGANDA, EAST AFRICA
Bridge 1:
Every time I am in the Church,
I wonder how Heaven looks like,
I think it's full of Angels,
Blowing praising trumpets,
But the truth I know,
God loves you and me.
I wish I could get a journey to Heaven.
All people die and go,
But they have never come back tell us what
is meant to live in Heaven.
For God kept that secret for those people
who have Faith
When the day comes,
They will see what is meant to live in Heaven
So
Chorus: (Repeat Twice)
Where is the door to your home?
Where is the key to your house?
Coz I still need you Lord,
Come and take me very high to the sky,
Coz I still Luv you Lord
Bridge 2:
I am trying to be good,
So that I can go to Heaven.
My doing right,
May be it's the passport to Heaven,
God come on here me cry,
Coz I wanna know how you live like in Heaven,
May be it's not the right time,
For me to be in Heaven,
But if you check me God,
I can tell you I wanna live in Heaven.
So
Repeat Chorus Twice
Bridge 3:
God Please here me cry
Give me wings to fly to Heaven,
May be take me there through the dream,
And Show me the way to prosperity,
I will see Heaven through prayers and Soar.
Repeat Chorus four times

Longest Winter
(Pop Song)
Bridge 1:
When you were still here,
Our luv was unbreakable
We used to cover the moon ,
with smiles which are untouchable,
do crazy things which are unbelievable,
your name shouted in my heart,
to embrace what I was feeling for you.
But baby if you could come,
You could see what I am passing through,
I can't reason,
I watch the stars no more.
Chorus: Repeat Twice
If you had my life, I wanted to give you my life,
But you left me in the longest winter, Without a jacket,
When I am in long sleeved shirt,
Oooh babe, babe,
I am feeling so cold,
I am down by now,
And I can't help it to die.
Bridge 2:
If you had just divorced me,
I would say a thousand words to get you back.
If you had got sick,
I would pay millions to cure you.
If you had frozen in ice,
I would warm you to life again,
But the truth is that you gone.
But babe if you could come back,
You could see what I am passing through,
I can't sleep,
I go to parties no more.
Repeat Chorus Once
Bridge 3:
I am singing this luv song,
Respecting good times we had.
I know you far away but I give you your life to God.
Although you are not with me,
One day I will meet you there.
And I thank you for making a good man.
Repeat Chorus Twice

When Singiza first contacted us he told us that he is twenty, and is doing his very best to earn a degree. He loves to write
songs like the ones listed here and has said that he has written over fifty songs. He wants his songs to be heard, however
no one would promote him because he does not have the money to pay for representation. WE WII REPRESENT HIM. He also said
that he could not send a picture because he cannot afford a camera. He would also like to find a tape or cd recorder so that
he can put some of his words to music. If some of you would like to help I will list his information.

Feeling and Love
(Pop Song)
Bridge 1:
Baby please tell me now,
Explain to me what are feelings and luv,
May be I am a fool,
I have never been in luv
But it's just a complication,
I need answers to my curiosity.
So if you have ever been in luv
I beg you to teach me how,
I can luv somebody with no remorse in my heart,
Come on Babe.
Chorus: (Repeat Twice)
Show me what are feelings and luv,
that drive people crazy,
Never the less they die for that luv,
which is intangible to us.
Bridge 2:
I think it's hidden,
It's just a emotional feeling.
But the question is,
How do other know,
that what we are feeling for them is real?
It's not decided by words,
But words add on the signs we do,
to show what exactly we are feeling.
Look into her eyes,
You will see the power of feelings of luv.
When you touch her,
You will see the trumbling of her body oooh!!!
Repeat Chorus Twice
Bridge 3:
When we luv, we smile, we enjoy and
When the luv is over, we cry, we feel the pain.
If there is somebody you luv,
Just kneel and show her your feelings and luv,
Till the moment she accepts she is yours oooh!!!
Repeat Chorus four times
