My name is Michael James Caron (shown here in the Snake Hat) with our client Chuck Kesilman and my beautiful wife Shirley Ruth Caron. I am president of M&S Public Relations (aka) Family Values Promotions. My duties vary, however my main goal is to find as many deserving vocalists and bands to promote for Emerald Records.

This is my beautiful wife Shirley Ruth Caron. She is Vice President of M&S Public Relations and Financial Director for our operations. When my wife Shirley and I began this business back in 2003, we went against the rules many times. We were told that in order to run a successful business we must charge a fee of $300.00 per year, plus require at least 30% of our client's revenue. We felt that this was a little extreme and decided to charge a one time fee of $100.00 and require only 10% of client's revenue. Since 2003 at least forty of our clients have gone on to bigger and better things. We have received nothing at all for our efforts. Nobody works for free. Therefore, we are now looking for all new clients that believe in honesty. If you cannot be honest, no matter how good you are, do not contact us. We have lost too much over the past seven years to continue to support clients that had no intentions of paying back. Once we have signed our new clients, those that are listed here will be gone..........We will be opening a category for Raggae Music as well.

M&S Public Relations along with Family Values Promotions are growing fast. We invite you to grow along with us, but there are certain rules that you must be ready to follow. First, we do not tolerate filthy lyrics nor lewd gestures in your act. We represent The Entertainer Network which is (The voice of World Wide Music). This means that if you qualify your music will be heard around the world. Our main mission is to help you take your career to the next level. When we introduce you to Big people in the Music Industry we expect you to conduct yourselves in a Professional manner. No matter how Great you are, you are not the best thing to come down the Pike. Once you adopt the attitude that you are, you begin to loose ground and others will leave you in the Dust. We are Not Booking agents, however we will do our very best to help you gain a foothole in various venues. In so doing, we may have to rely on outside help. No one works for free and their fees vary. You are a Vocalists or Band that has gained a lot of local recognition. You are ready to gain much more recognition. That is where we come in. We cannot always be at a club where you are performing, however when we can we will be. If you have already signed with us, and half way through your first out of three sets we spot a bottle of beer or other alchoholic beverage on stage, we will inform you at the end of that set that we no longer represent you. We have been in this business long enough to know that alchohol and stage lights do not mix. By the middle of the second set you miss key your instrument or forget words to a song you are singing and at the end of the second set the band is outside arguing with one another.
Our performers have the Real Potential of being recognized in Nashville and way beyond, therefore when you sign with us you have to be ready and willing to be in it for the Long Haul. We offer you the chance to be seen on T.V., by getting you nominated for the E.I.A. (Entertainer Indi-Association) Awards Show in Nashville, Tennessee which is held in Nashville, Tennessee. This event is held twice a year, is taped over a two day period where you will have a personnel interview with Mister Cliff Ayres, plus perform your selected song, plus receive an award for being nominated. This is at least three times that you will be seen in front of the camera. Once the taping is finished, the show is edited into eight half hour segments that are than distributed to at least 65 cities in the U.S. and several cities overseas. When you are not before the camera you are in the audience and on each half hour segments the camera sweeps the audience at least four or more times. Therefore, for eight weeks, a half hour each week, you will be seen by millions of people throughout the world. There is a phone number that is shown throughout the shows. A Club owner spots your act, likes what he or she sees, calls that number to get information on you, we are notified by Nashville, and once we verify that all the information is legitimate we help you close the deal. In four years we have helped over fifty people become recognized. Some were ready for the move ahead, and some were not.
If you have the talent, but the only experience you have is singing Karaoke, there are some things that you will need to know. When you get to Nashville, it is NOT Karaoke!!! Whatever song you plan to sing, you need to know that song by heart. There is no second take. For those that plan to join us, we do have you sign an Agreement. In this agreement we let you know exactly what we will be doing for you. When we are instrumental in securing night club performances or other {GIGs} and they offer to hire you on a weekly basis, it is then that you secure a contract from the establishment that you are performing at. This is for your protection. Keep in mind that Contracts are binding, and if you have signed a contract to perform for $600.00 a night, and we find an establishment that wants you to perform on the same night for $1,000.00, you loose. You have already signed a binding contract. Therefore, whether you join with us or not, remember this. Short term contracts are more productive than long term contracts. Do not be eager to sign that contract until you have read everything including the Fine Print. You want to protect yourself. They do also. They know a Goldmine when it walks through the Door. By the end of the first performance they will have a contract ready for you to sign. It will be for five years at a set price that you will agree to. By your fourth or fifth performance you will notice that they are charging a Cover Charge of five to twenty-five dollars to get in the door. You get paid your usual fee and nothing more. When you argue about this arrangement the establishment's manager will smile and say, "Read your contract." It is all there, especially in the fine print that you forgot to read but signed the contract anyway. There are performers reading this right now and shaking their heads in agreement because they have been there, done that, and have lost a lot of money over the years for not reading the contract through. It is time for you to take a long breath, brush your pants off and come over to the people that know that long dusty road that you have been traveling, and let us help you onto the road to success. It is not all lost yet.
Parents. Is your daughter or son talented? Have you entered them into contest where they always came in fourth or fifth, just out of range for the top prize? Were they much better than the winners and you wondered why they did not win? I'm pretty sure that if you have spent thousands of dollars and listened to the ones that did win, at first you were confused. It does not take too long, however to realize the reason that your child did not make it to first place. When dealing with M&S Public Relations and Family Values Promotions you will find that we will not pull any punches. Before the contest even begins, the judges are evaluating the parents, not the contestant. The Parents Attitude will determine how far the child goes in the competition. Assuming the child does have talent and performs well, but the mother or father of that child has an arrogant attitude towards the other performers in the contest the child does not have a chance, period!!!! How many times have you been to your child's soccer game and seen mothers on the side line trading punches with a mother of a child on the other team?? Before deciding to let us represent your child, take off the boxing gloves. If your child has a great career ahead of him or her, and you are acting like we have to drop everything that we are doing and pay full attention to your child, you will be in for a big letdown. Also, and this goes for everyone. "Dress To Impress." An eight year old girl that dresses like a Streetwalker will not impress me or Mister Ayres. Pick songs that are in tune with your age. The bottom line is simple. Use common sense.

Purpose; The purpose of our business is to get you the artist the best possible resources to take your career to the next level. We work with one of the largest chains in the music industry.

Goals; The goals toward this level are co-operation, dedication, and above all patience.

Costs; That depends on how fast or how slow you would like to make it in this field. When you pay the initial fee of $100.00 this entitles you to four or more pictures on our website free from charge. It also entitles you to listing your biography or anything that you would like the readers to know about yourself. The normal fee for our service would be $300.00 for a six month period of time. We are also suppose to charge a $50.00 consulatation fee. (i.e.) someone approaches you about bookings, ect. and you want to know if you should or should not take the offer. We check out the details, get back to you with the answer and charge you $50.00 for your time. we do not do that. It is included with the $100.00 fee that you pay one time, not every six months. We will put up to three of your songs on our website free from charge.

Opportunities; We provide you with the opportunity to have your music heard world wide. We provide you with the opportunity to be listed in the Entertainer News Newspaper which is The Voice of World Wide Music. These opportunities are not free, however by being a member of M&S Public Relations you will receive a sizeable discount. We work with Cliff Ayres Enterprises which has been in business since 1951. This consists of eight seperate business that deal solely with the entertainment industries.

Booking; We are not now, nor have we ever been a booking agency. If a venue contacts us after seeing your profile on our website, we will definetely recommend you. If we go through a booking agency to get you a GIG, we will charge 10% of what you make, plus whatever precentage the booking agency requires. We pay a fee each month to maintain our website. We are listed on several search engines and therefore if you are good, you will be noticed. If you have your own website, and it is much more extensive than ours, send us the URL and we will allow our readers to get the full benefit of who you are. We believe in fairness but remenber it is not a one way street.

Competition; Every business has them. You will have offers to represent you free of charge or have people gaurantee to get you a Recording contract within six months, {If you send them $3,600.00 actual figure} When or IF you get that contract that will cost you an additional cost of $5,000.00 to $10,000.00. Read the story on Rick Hager and see the difference. If you feel that you are so good that you should not have to pay a penny for your promotion that's find. We are here to help those that realize that when someone offers you something for free, you will get your money's worth.

There is one important thing to understand, many artists have said that they have had promoters offer to represent them free of charge. The LURE of Free has caused a lot of artists to loose everything that they ever worked for. When you are offered Free representation read the fine print, whether you are a poet, songwriter, or vocalist Or music arranger. I have had people come to me and ask what they can do to get the rights to their songs back, their poetry or their musical arrangements, however If they have signed a contract there is nothing that I or anyone can do. When you are offered a Free deal, you are giving up the rights to everything!! We offer a one time sign-up fee of $100.00 to represent you for life. We represent you in Nashville. We are affiliated with Cliff Ayres Enterprises that includes Entertainer Indi-Association, Entertainer Network, (The Music Industry Magazine, Music Town Distribution, Emerald Records and American Sounds Records. Most important, if you sign a Record Contract with Emerald Records and somewhere down the road Warner Brothers or R.C.A. wants to sign you, we can get you out of your contract without penalty!!
